Scratch Blue by Kaan Akdogan & Mark Mason – Lottery Card Trick

Scratch Blue: A Lottery Card Transformation

A lottery scratch-off card changes into the spectator's selected playing card in the blink of an eye. Scratch by Kaan Akdogan and Mark Mason combines an easy-to-perform visual transformation with a comedy setup built around a failed card reveal.

The routine

A spectator selects a card, returns it to the deck and the deck is shuffled. You announce that you will find the card, joking that if you fail, they will get a chance to win $50,000.

Your attempt misses, so you take a lottery scratch-off card from your pocket: "I never said it was a good chance." Place the scratch card on the deck and instantly change it into their actual selection.

The lottery premise is part of the comedy presentation, not a prize offered with this product.

Magnetic locking design

The custom-made gimmick uses magnetic locking. After the transformation, you can casually toss the card into the air and hand it back to the spectator.

• Quick, visual scratch-card-to-playing-card change.
