Okito Blox by Joel Dickinson reimagines the classic Okito Box with a solid cube and a compact set of coordinated props. Make the cube vanish, appear, pass through your hand or travel between the box, bag and pocket, then finish by revealing a completely solid box.

This is a system for building routines, rather than a single effect. Combine switches, penetrations and transpositions into a short close-up sequence or explore the supplied techniques to develop a longer performance.

What you can perform

• Through the Hand: a visual block penetration.
• The Teleporting Blox: move the cube impossibly between locations.
• Cube to Bag: vanish the cube from the box and reveal it on the bag.
• Boxed and Bagged: make the cube appear inside a previously examined empty bag.
• Kick Back Monte: send the cube between the box and your pocket before a surprise turn.

Props and instruction

The set includes Boston Blox, a cube, a specially designed rattle lid, a solid box and a velvet bag. The props are made from durable plastic. The rattle principle lets you create the sound of the cube inside the box even when it is elsewhere.

The tutorial covers 15 core moves and techniques, including the Turnover, Fake Shake, Finger Tip Roll, Fake Insert, the Drop, Palm Switch and Bobo Switch. You also receive mini effects, handling subtleties and two complete performance routines showing how the techniques fit together.
